How do I format phone numbers

I want a "phone number" property to look like that, and not like a solid string of numbers. I cannot seem to find any property definition to do that.

The question is closed but not solved. The "Phone number" property is a misnomer and misleading. In every database I have seen until now, a phone number property includes phone formatting, i.e., 123-456-7890. Notion does not. I have adapted and will overlook this one small weakness. Thanks to everyone who had input. Questions is now closed.

Question: How?
Answer: Not possible.

Then your question is solved, what you are asking for is a feature not included in Notion.

It can be a feature request, but that does not mean your question is not solved until Notion implements that, because it is.

Use the "Phone" property.

Hope that helps.

Thank you for your quick answer, but that is what I currently do. The finished entry looks like "1234567890" instead the desired look of "123-456-7890". The best example would be the Date Properyt wherein I can modify the Date property to show time parameters, if desired. I can find no option to even set a display property (like noted above) in the phone property settings. Am I missing something?

Ok, that was not mentioned. If you want them to be 123-456-7890, you have to enter them or paste them that way. There is no automatic phone formatting in Notion.

Thank you. That's unfortunate but what I was expecting. It's fascinating that Notion has just about everything BUT this capability build it.
