How can we merge multiple blocks?

People are used to pressing "enter" when they change lines, which will create new blocks.
I know pressing "shift + enter" can keep the text in the same block. But it is annoying every time you want to change lines.

Is there a way that allows me to select multiple continuous blocks and merge them into one block?

Thanks

The only way I can imagine is to go to the end of the first block, hit delete, then shift-enter. I see no command for merging blocks.
