Help with slice formula in Notion

Hello, I am a beginner and I am trying to make my reading list in notion. I learnt that the slice formula is used to take a string of text and remove any particular element from it. But it doesn’t work for me.

I want to track the percentage of pages I have read, sometimes the percentage number is super long as “26.3333333…” and I want to use the slice formula to remove some numbers, but there is always something wrong…

I guess you count the percentage with a formula like finish/total*100. The slice formula won't work with it, because the result is a number and the slice formula works only with text.

You should use format() to transform the number into text and it will work for you. For example format(finish/total*100) will give you the number in text format.
