Insert a tab character in Notion

How can I insert a tab character in Notion (as opposed to using the tab key to indent a block)?

You will have to use spaces for indenting just the text and not the block itself.

If you enter TAB and write, that block and the following ones will be indented. So if you want to indent just the text inside the block, spaces is the solution.

It’s super hacky, but if you really need a longer tab sized space inline in your text you could make a math block and use the \qquad Katex code to give you a 2em space.
