how can I get image and text side by side? I have seen it in the help documents but can't work out how?

Aha, got it. Need to drag across the the very edge of the side you want it to be and drop - wait for a vertical blue line

Simple when you know, mystery if you don't!!!

Thank you for sharing the solution, you are correct. Dragging blocks to the right you can create the columns as needed.
