How to fix messed up decimal numbers after import into excel

Hey everyone,

I'm working on a thesis and our data is saved in a huge notion table. In order to clean up the table and later import it into SPSS, I would like to first import the data into excel. Everything is working as intended, except decimal numbers. Several columns in the notion table contain decimal numbers, when trying to import into excel it just gets rid of the dot and 32.5 turns into 325.

Is there a way to fix this issue?

thanks in advance!

Not sure I am understanding, but you are asking how to fix an Excel problem using Notion?

Keep in mind that if Excel is changing the format, it does not matter from where you are bringing the data, it will just change it to the settings you have there.

Google search shares this:
Tools > Options > Edit, untick Fixed decimal places.
Set the format as General.
Use the decimal tools in Excel.

Other: Try Google Sheets.

Sorry I can't suggest more as I don't use Excel, but if you try Google Sheets for sure the result will be better.
