I have a Notion database and a Google spreadsheet that each have a list of client names. I want to cross-reference the names and check if they share entries (if there's a "match"). Is there a way to do this on Notion by uploading the Google sheet as a CSV, and then creating a formula to check if the two databases share an entry? Thanks!

I would recommend doing it the other way around by exporting Notion database into CSV and comparing it in Google sheet.
While there are ways to detect duplicates but it requires extensive setup of rollup and relations which will require more effort than needed.
Alternatively, you can use a tool like Sheets2Notion which will sync your Notion to a Google sheet and you can compare there using Google Sheet formula.
Then again the simplest would be to just export from Notion to Google Sheet.
