Prevent duplicate title names

Hi,

I created a wiki in my notion and I want to prevent a situation of opening a page with the same title which already exists.
I can search every term in advance, but this seems counterintuitive. Is there a way to prevent generating pages with an existing title ? It would be enough just to get a message about this

Thanks,

You can't. The only way possible is to create your own filter and view.

For example a specific view to add items with a formula that checks if the new name is equal to the name and a filter where the formula property is not empty, the problem is that you will have to add the new name to the formula each time.

Other than that you can't block what to type.

You may want to have a look at external tools like Make or Zapier to see if you can create an automation that can help with this.
