Currently in my grade calculator page I have a couple alt. scheme columns that just hold alternate grading schemes and I manually copy those numbers into my weighting column to calculate all my grade possibilities. Is it possible to somehow select one of the alt. scheme columns and have those numbers be directly copied into weighting? I'd like to switch between schemes whenever I want.

Yes. You need to relate the databases and call that property using a formula or a rollup.

Probably the rollup will work better for you. Create an entry, relate it to the entry in the weighting and a rollup that calls the information you need.
