For more context, I have always been a free plan user. I wanted to create a page with my friend the other day to store all of our plans and stuff and I remember something popping up and I clicked yes without any eextra thought which probably enabled the notion workspace/teamspace. There was a three day free trial and I figured if I didn't pay for it, it might just eventually go away and I can continue using notion as normal.

Three days passed and now I'm unable to create new content unless I upgrade my plan. I wanted to delete the teamspace/workspace entirely but it seems like it's a default workspace and I can't really do that. Any other solutions to this?

Unfortunately you can't. If you click the add as a member after inviting a user, the workspace is created.

You will need to remove the user from members, invite again and do NOT click add as a member in the popup.

If you want to have the Notion space without the team options, create a new Notion workspace, move your things there, invite your guests and remember to ignore the add as a member popup during the invitation.
