I am using the Project and Sprint board and want to add child tasks in each project based on the planning done on the timeline.

I can't find a way to turn tasks in the timeline to add as tasks in the Project or add tasks of a project on the timeline.

You have 2 options there.

1- New Page in Tasks.
2- New at the bottom left of the timeline.

I believe that those are the ones you are looking for.
