How do you change a string value to date property?

Been trying to look at this online and also with chatgpt to no avail.

I have a column called "Names" in text format. This column contains the date in string, for example, July 2023.
In order for me to do some of my calculations, I will need to change this column to date format.

How do I do that?
THank you.

The default one can't be changed. If it is one you created, right click on the property Names, select edit the property and in the type option select Date.

Just keep in mind that dates need a day, if you only have a month, it will not work as you expect to.
